Another New TV Obsession: Suits

The only reason I started to watch Suits was because I made a deal with my roommate that if she watched an episode of Scandal, I would watch an episode of Suits (a show she recently discovered and kept raving about). And we never looked back since. I finished Suits in about a week, and my roommate finished up Scandal in about the same amount of time. And I’m obsessed, I can’t wait for season 3 to start in July!

A dramedy (drama-comedy) that revolves around the dealings of corporate law, Suits is fairly similar to Scandal — the way the people talk, the way the show is produced, story-wise (solving 1 or 2 cases each episodes). A really great show that I would encourage anyone who likes shows like Scandal. Unlike with Scandal, where I didn’t really care for the romance storyline between Olivia Pope and the President, in Suits, Mike + Rachel = love, it has to #OTP I’m not sure who I like Harvey with, but I think him and Donna would be supes cute.

Mike Ross — can be related to Jesse in Breaking Bad (literally, they look alike), the newbie, but ridiculously smart and has an amazing way of absorbing information, does not always make that smartest decisions, his life is very complicated; also, if you watch Pretty Little Liars (he is dating the girl who plays Spencer, Troian Bellisario, in real life #cuties)
Harvey Specter — “best closer in the world”, he’s a BADASS, can be very cold or harsh but it usually means that he cares, extremely confident
Rachel Zane — a paralegal, not a lawyer, but a damn good paralegal since she has her own office; drop dead gorgeous, smart, awesome
Jessica Pearson — manager of the law firm (Pearson-Hardman), a strong, independent woman; she also had a short stint in new hit TV show Hannibal early in the season
Louis Litt — Seemingly the arch enemy of Harvey, but a lot of his resentment towards Harvey stems from jealousy, Harvey is viewed as always right and people value him way more than Louis even though Louis has a very good record himself. Mr. Litt is one of the characters that you love to hate, he can be very annoying and devious. Every move he makes is to be questioned because it seems like he only wants to undermine Harvey and the people close to him. He is also kinda funny with his facial expressions and behavior (i.e. “You just got LITT UP!”)
Donna Paulson — I LOVE HER, she’s the best. That is all. Donna provides the most LOLs in the show. She’s so loyal and a fantastic secretary.
Daniel Hardman — He sucks. Period. Later in the show, you’ll see.

Also, it is pretty crazy how many people show up in this show who are on other popular shows (i.e. Nashville, Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars, etc.).

one random note: DO NOT watch both Suits and Scandal at the same time. You will get confused. Finish one show then go onto the other.

All in all, I highly recommend anyone to check out this show and give it a shot!
You will not be disappointed!
:)
