Just a quick review of some of the latest music releases that I enjoyed :)

Kiss Land — The Weeknd
Definitely not your typical R&B record, but dang is this a cool album. A lot of cool beats and sounds in every song. The Weeknd doesn’t stray completely from his style that he had in his mixtapes, satisfying long-time fans, but also different enough to attract new fans. A few favorites include Wanderlust, Live For, Tears in the Rain, and Belong to the World.

Travis Garland — Travis Garland
Travisssss!!! I’ve been a big fan every since Believe, and even more so after his mixtapes. Finally a full length album from him, and he does not disappoint! Although I was slightly disappointed that he included some songs from his Fashionably Late mixtapes on it, everything else was practically perfect. I also wish that he had a few more sweet ballads like Didn’t Stand a Chance, From Adam or Second Try. A lot of the songs on the album you can hear some influences of JT and MJ, even The Weeknd in some areas. I really like Clouds, Other People, Modern Life, and his older stuff that is on the album.

Yours Truly — Ariana Grande
I really enjoy Ariana’s album. It’s happy music, and it’s a nice change of pace from what’s popular in the pop music world today. There’s a nice throwback feel to her songs. Also, Honeymoon Avenue is the jame… except for the last 20 seconds (I was not feelin that at all). I also enjoy Piano, Almost is Never Enough, Baby I, and Lovin’ It.

Love in the Future — John Legend
Your classic R&B/Soul album from the one and only John Legend. That beautiful, smooth voice, is butter. A lot of love songs, that I’m sure are inspired by his fiancee (and they are super cute). However, listening to the album does make me feel even more forever alone haha. My all-time favorites are All of Me, Made to Love, and For the First Time. Regardless of my current status, I can always enjoy this album.
