Ambition and Stubbornness(Part 3)

In analyzing my ambitions, I feel that my friends Sebastien and Henry, and my father show their impact on my progression to becoming an Active Inquirer.

With Sebastien, I uncovered that “Hard Thinking” has opened me up to the potential of understanding the scientific applications of complex fundamental questions. Because of this I learned about how fast and efficient computations can be made with quantum computers. I chose a physics major due to this and my interest in fundamental particle interactions.

In speaking to Henry, I saw that my ambitions led me to largely impacting decisions like transferring to a university far from my home in Michigan(USC). I made this decision because of the school’s connections in the film industry and their Center for Quantum Information Science and Technology. These programs will allow me to actively inquire how I can get into these careers.

The emotional circumstances and realities that I uncovered(as described before with Lindsay) have allowed me to further develop my curiosity to try to question how and why things work. With my father, I spoke on a similar topic as with Henry(“crazy invention phase of today”) as I look to make the necessary connections in school and intellectually to prepare for the fields of interest to me. This includes my taking acting classes with a professional(SAG) actress for five years and my actively working on inventions to apply properties of materials in science. These interviews showcase why my ambitions have led me to make choices to develop my platform to inquire and change my environment around me.
