Starting college after high school {Persuasive writing 1}
It’s a common mentality in our society that after a student graduates from high school it is expected of them to go straight to college. But even though the majority of the students have this mentality, lately some don’t agree with this and instead decide to use their moment of freedom to travel, work, relax or just calmly look through the options the colleges offer instead of rushing off to grab a place.
So the real question is: Is it really a good idea to directly go to college after graduating from high school?
In my opinion, I am in favor of going directly to college after you graduate from high school.
Topic 1:
It is said that you’re wiser if you learn of life than of studying and some people believe that school sometimes doesn’t hold all the knowledge someone is able to achieve and that life lessons teach more and better than academic lessons. However, considering the students are still young when they enter college they are still fresh and are able to acquire knowledge much quicker than students who enter college at an older age. Not to mention the get used to the college system much quicker than the others.
Topic 2:
Some students already have a job before they start studying and that’s why some of them would like to stay a bit longer on it to get some money or to just stay there because they wish to continue doing this job. But if you start working sooner you’ll be able to acquire a job sooner considering you started studying earlier. And most companies like to hire someone with a diploma.
Topic 3:
After students finish their study, some wish to grow a bit older before enrolling in college. That way, they’ll feel more mature and after a nice break of relaxing after the exams they can go enroll themselves in into college. But if the student enrolls still has the mentality of studying and instead of wasting time, they’re training their brain with more knowledge. Studies have shown that the less you challenge or train your brain, the more likely you’re able to remember things better. So by this it’s better to use your head at a young age the best you can.
Conclusion
For the most part, it seems that going a bit later to college seems like a good idea but it may give you some problems on the long run. Such as finishing later, wasting time and spirit along with not having a diploma. So it’s better to start early, to finish early.
