We do not have the chariots of the Gods,
We do not have chariots with fire and wings.
We have chariots of metal, plastic and steel,
These chariots have a special set of wheels.

The chariots of life can take us everywhere.
We can visit one place and then another,
In the shortest space of time we are somewhere,
A new place, as we are transported in the air.

There are chariots that take us to Heaven,
The wisps of smoke that candles release,
As we pray for those who have passed away.
Souls leave although we beg them to stay.

There are chariots in our imagination,
That transport us to unknown lands.
There are chariots in mind and fantasy,
That carry us into endless infinity.

The chariots in Heaven carry old souls,
The chariots on Earth carry tired souls.
Every chariot we use in this world and the next,
Takes us to new worlds, in thoughts and in text.

Great Writers create their chariots strong,
They create worlds and make legends tall.
The worlds created by writers endure time,
In every story, essay, verse and rhyme.
