Everything And Everyone, Takes Time To Bloom

A poem

You can feel the kiss of Spring in the air,
even before we shed our winter coats,
even before the ground has thawed.

There’s a change in your whole being,
as if the sunshine somehow has been able
to make its way into your veins, and leave
a bit of its golden glow to swirl around.

Our steps are lighter, and our hearts are lighter,
and the way we navigate our days becomes easier.
It’s as if we suddenly put down whatever it is that
we’ve been holding, and now, we are free.

Now, the seeds that we planted are starting to
grow, and the petals of the flowers and the
green of the grass and the blue of the sky
reminds us of the hope that’s been with us
all along.

They, like you, just needed time to bloom.
