Upside Down

A poem

Photo by Sven Fischer on Unsplash

A single train car
chugs across the tracks,

held steady by
balancing black beams
above a mixture of
water and ice.

A lonely goose flies
in an antagonistic direction,
looking for affection.
Only to find out the train car
can’t be nice.
