I’ve recently been rediscovering Stuart Wilde’s books and lectures, not least his teachings on money and the power of the will to transform reality.

This may sound a little strange, but my grandfather was the one to introduce me to Stuart Wilde’s particular brand of new age philosophy. I must have been about 10 when granddad put a dog-eared copy of The Trick to Money Is Having Some in my grubby little hand and told me to read it.

There was something about that book - and about the other Wilde books I went on to read after it — that really spoke to me. There’s so much of the New Age stuff out there that I don’t resonate with because it seems tepid and rather dissempowering.

But Stuart Wilde’s take on things sizzles with energy and inspiration. It did then, and it still does today.

Stuart Wilde 1946–2013

Stuart Wilde was born in England in 1946. He grew up between Africa and a boarding school back in the UK which he would later describe as an austere prison camp.

Every book I write about here either taught me something invaluable or stirred something in my soul.
