Like DéjàVu

He’s going to say
the same things
he said yesterday
and that rings
a mournful bell
in my memory

It’s a death knell

Yes it will be
his reasons next

But I don’t believe my ears

It’s all a pretext
to stoke my fears
or a trick
of my playful mind

Yesterday this brought us a kick

I will wake to find
it was only my fancy

Who repeats a mistake?

This cannot be

This moment is a fake
