Your Peculiar Passions Create Your Particular Purpose
Whatever moves us is our mission
I was thinking this morning about the Madleen, the humanitarian ship attempting to break the blockade to deliver life-saving supplies to Gaza. Greta Thunberg is on it, and it was recently captured by Israeli forces. Every volunteer on board was kidnapped in international waters. Thunberg is 22 and has already done more in her short life than I may ever do in mine. She is, simply, an inspiration.
From advocating for the plight of the environment to putting herself in danger trying to bring supplies to Palestine, Thunberg’s passions have formed her greater purpose. That’s exactly what passions are meant to do. Whatever moves us is our mission — the way we can make the world a better place.
