Free art piece #54

The artist faking busyness runs after the bus

This piece is called “I’m busy and you know it”.

In this performative piece, a group of artists fake busy-ness around the city. They run after buses and say “fuck” when they miss it. They leave their coffee half full and leave the restaurant typing nervously on their phones. They sport small clues that make their attitude feel fishy. For instance, they use old Nokia phones to talk and text.

If it becomes clear the fishy little features don’t make it obvious, the artists could also bow at the end of their performance. For instance, after rushing out of a coffee place on their phone, in a manner that would make it obvious to everyone that they are busy, they could walk back in and smile and bow.
