Cannabis Retailers with a Medical Endorsement
Retail cannabis licenses with medical endorsements are posted on the Liquor and Cannabis Board website for registered patients and their providers to access. The LCB wants to make sure we provide accurate information for patients and designated providers who need to find medical cannabis products and register for recognition cards with the Department of Health (DOH). We need your help to maintain accuracy for the patient community.
To find out if you are on the list please check the frequently requested lists on our website and open the “Cannabis: Medically Endorsed Stores” spreadsheet.
If you are on the list, please confirm that you meet the requirements for an endorsement. Do you meet the requirements below?
- One of the requirements to have a medical endorsement on your cannabis retailer license is to have a Medical Cannabis Certified Consultant. You can find more information on the consultant certification training on the DOH’s website under the Medical Cannabis Consultant Certification Program.
- The ability to enter qualifying patients and designated providers in the medical cannabis database administered by the DOH under chapter 246–71 WAC.
- The ability to issue medical cannabis recognition cards developed by the DOH to medical cannabis patients and designated providers.
· Ability to carry cannabis products identified by the DOH in chapter 246–70 WAC as beneficial for medical use.
If you currently have the medical endorsement and no longer meet the above requirements, or no longer wish to have the endorsement, a member of your business may request the endorsement be removed by emailing cannabisendorsement@lcb.wa.gov.
Please keep in mind you can always apply again in the future once you meet the above requirements, and the endorsement is free to apply. You can find the application on our website titled “Application for Added Medical Cannabis Endorsement.”
Thank you for your efforts to keep this information current and accurate to support patients.
