Finding a long-term solution for cannabis reporting and traceability to replace the current system — the Central Cannabis Reporting System (CCRS) — can’t be successfully completed without the help of stakeholders. The Cannabis Traceability Project marks a significant step forward in enhancing the traceability and accountability of cannabis products throughout the state.

The cannabis industry plays a very important role in shaping the future of traceability in Washington State. The LCB recognizes the importance of industry expertise and insights in exploring options for a new reporting and traceability system that meets the unique needs and challenges faced by cannabis licensees.

Take the Traceability Survey

To ensure the new system is practical, efficient, and effective, LCB is seeking input and feedback from the cannabis industry. Through surveys and direct communication, we will gather insights on how the new system can be user-friendly, minimize disruptions to operations, and meet the regulatory requirements of the industry.

The LCB is in the process of gathering information for a feasibility study to determine the long-term cannabis activity tracking and reporting system solution. Please click here to take our survey on the future of traceability, or scan the QR code below.

We will also be hosting virtual and in-person meetings for further engagement and to continue the dialogue on the Cannabis Traceability Project. These meetings will provide industry members space to ask questions, share their perspectives, and be informed of the current progress of the project.

The cannabis industry is a valued partner in this project, and we want to incorporate your needs and requirements in the development of a reporting and traceability system to enhances transparency and accountability. By working closely with industry stakeholders, LCB aims to create a system that not only meets regulatory standards but also supports the growth and sustainability of the cannabis industry in Washington State.
