Technology System Changes: Update on New System’s Progress
LCB continues to make progress on the development of a new technology platform that will replace the agency’s many aging technology systems. The new system is called the Licensing, Education, Enforcement, and Administrative Data System (LEEADS).
When will the Changes Happen?
The system is being implemented in several phases — some internal, and some that will impact licensees and other stakeholders. The external user impacts began last summer when LCB launched a small-scale version of a portal that will eventually be used for most LCB processes. The next major system launch is set for the end of 2024, although as with all big technology projects the specific dates aren’t usually set in stone until closer to their “go live” date.
More Updates to Come Throughout 2024
As LCB moves towards the portal expansion, we will work to make sure you understand how and when you will be impacted, and if there are any actions you need to take. Updates will happen via this newsletter, by email, and through webinars, web content and other communication methods. We will give specific details on the changes and contact information to use if you have questions or concerns.
