God Hates Sin, Not the Sinner — Breaking It Down for Everyone

Let’s start with the basics: God’s not out here holding a cosmic grudge against people. He doesn’t look at you, me, or anyone else and go, “Ugh, this one’s the worst.” But when it comes to sin? Oh, He’s not a fan.
In fact, the Bible makes it pretty clear—God hates sin. Not because He’s picky, but because sin wrecks the beautiful relationship He designed us to have with Him.
Now, that’s the foundation of this whole “love the sinner, hate the sin” thing. Unfortunately, it’s also where people tend to lose the plot. So, let’s roll up our sleeves and break it down.
God Loves People—All of Us, Seriously
First, let’s get one thing straight: God loves everybody. Yep, everybody. John 3:16 is practically on every coffee mug for a reason:
“For God so loved the world…”
Notice it doesn’t say, “For God so loved the world, except those who messed up in specific ways.” God’s love is unconditional, meaning there’s no fine print where He suddenly stops loving you because you fall into a certain category.
