Is the United States Headed Toward a Soviet-Style Government?
The Daunting Parallels that should be considered
In the 20th century, the Soviet Union became infamous for its strict control over society, economy, and individual freedoms, creating a government-driven dystopia where personal liberty became an endangered concept. I’m pretty sure we all know how well that went.

1. Centralization of Power
The Soviet Way: In the USSR, the government took control of nearly every aspect of life, from the local bakery to the national defense industry. The Communist Party, under leaders like Stalin, exerted absolute control, with a centralized, all-powerful state that called the shots on everything—what jobs people worked, where they lived, and even what they were allowed to say.
You couldn’t take a crap without somebody knowing.
