You’ve probably heard it thrown around in every doomsday prediction, conspiracy theory, or random “the end is nigh!” rant someone’s uncle posted on Facebook.

But here’s the thing—Revelation wasn’t written to freak people out or make us guess which politician is the Antichrist this week. Honestly, the way people handle this book sometimes makes it seem more harmful to Christianity than helpful. Let’s dig into why that happens and what we’re actually supposed to do with this wild, fiery, dragon-filled book.

What’s Revelation Actually About?

So, the Apostle John wrote this while chilling on the island of Patmos—well, less “chilling” and more “exiled.” It’s basically his giant vision from God, full of symbols, crazy imagery, and some pretty intense scenes. Think of it like an ancient spiritual graphic novel.
