Let’s imagine the highly unlikely (and wildly impractical) scenario they would’ve needed to stage. Because really…if they were trying to fake it, these disciples would be the last crew you'd ever pick to pull off a grand illusion.
Step 1: Outwit the Romans (With…Zero Training and Zero Plan?)
Picture this, a group of untrained fishermen, tax collectors, and average folks decide they’re going to break into a guarded tomb, right under the noses of the highly trained Roman soldiers, who happened to be the most feared military force of the time. These Romans were not the types to snooze on the job; they had actual consequences if they failed — like loosing their jobs, or death
So, let’s see…what was the disciples’ brilliant plan here? “Hey, guys, let’s just sneak past the guards who are armed to the teeth and definitely won’t notice us moving a 1-2 ton stone with our bare hands while taking a dead body! We’ve got this!”
Sure thing, team. Nothing could go wrong with that plan. Nothing at all.
