Stand-in for a Sit-in

Late in the afternoon, more signs than protesters remain outside Gardner’s Greeley office.

Lyn Davis of Greeley Indivisible planned to hold a sit-in to protest the #TrumpTaxScam in Senator Cory Gardner’s Greeley office. The event was scheduled for the afternoon of November 27, 2017. When they arrived at Where’s-Cory’s office, however, the staff would not allow them inside. It is thought that this policy dates from the infamous day when Denver police were employed to carry a group of Resisting disabled activists out of Gardner’s Denver office and into jail.

Chiu-Ki’s Sign

Ever adaptable, the Indivisibles turned their sit-in into a Honk&Wave at the intersection of 8th Street and 8th Avenue, where WTF’s Chiu-Ki Chan joined the event in progress. She reports encountering a group of about ten die-hard protesters, children in tow. The honks and waves from passing motorists well outnumbered the thumbs-downs and gunned engines. Greeley appears to be onto the #TaxScam.
