We share a pretty serious amount of stuff with each other on a weekly basis. Stuff we like, stuff that inspires us, stuff that makes us laugh, stuff we wish we made, stuff we should read, stuff we should listen to, stuff we should watch…STUFF.

This weekly post rounds up all the stuff we’ve shared with each other over the last seven days and gives it to you because, well, it’s always nice to spread the wealth. WTVS it is.

Digital Doggy Bag — Cannes Lions Recap

Why we shared it:

This official recap of the 2019 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has some, not surprisingly, good content. We especially like some of the takeaways about industry transformation and working together to figure out the best way to create something. See our favorite quotes above.

Creativity is the Business Growth Engine

Why we shared it:

Initial response to this being shared was “Good vid, good series idea, good everything.” All of that reigns true. It’s pretty common for content marketers to talk about making “big rock” content and then breaking it out into tons of different assets. However, not a lot of us actually do it. This series not only handles the big rock strategy perfectly, it also looks and sounds great.

Rouser

Why we shared it:

We honestly didn’t know much about Rouser is (a “new kind of activist organization”) and what they do (work to “wake as many people as possible to the burning need for action on climate change and eco-collapse.”) but this website journey made us sign up for their updates.

Mailchimp video series

Why we shared it:

We love pretty much everything Mailchimp does but this video series is especially great. The short stories and cool animation play along nicely with the end goal of each of these — to explain that Mailchimp does more than email. One of us has a complaint though…the voice used for the voiceover. Just, why?

Candle in the Wind — Kagan Marks

Why we shared it:

This video combines both our passions: words and visuals. We like the type animation and think this is a great, creative way to tell a story.

Logos in the Air — The Future of Scents

Why we shared this:

For a minute we were kind of obsessed with mogos (musical logos) but to think we could be branching out even more into sogos (scented logos) is a bit mind-blowing. If we had to choose what WTVS smelled like it would probably be a touch of lavender, a dash of cannabis, and fresh ground coffee.

Jo Goes Hunting — Careful by Alice Saey

Why we shared it:

Sometimes we just like some trippy psychedelic stuff. Simple as that.

Optimove Rebrand

Why we shared it:

This is an oldie but a goodie. We actually re-shared this blog post about Optimove’s re-brand this week because we think it’s a perfect walkthrough of how to strategize brand. We also know that branding for tech can be quite hard. There’s usually a preconceived notion that everything should be need dark and well, “techie.” However, Optimove proves that you can still brand tech and explain something a bit more complicated with illustration and a light color palette.

See you next week!
