We share a pretty serious amount of stuff with each other on a weekly basis. Stuff we like, stuff that inspires us, stuff that makes us laugh, stuff we wish we made, stuff we should read, stuff we should listen to, stuff we should watch…STUFF.

This weekly post rounds up all the stuff we’ve shared with each other over the last seven days and gives it to you because, well, it’s always nice to spread the wealth. WTVS it is.

Strategy Creative + The Brothers Green

Why we shared it:

We’re suckers for a simple, handmade feel. We’re suckers for cannabis. So, this basically combines everything we like. We would carry that tote all day.

Brand New World

Why we shared it:

We talk about what brand means a whole lot. In fact, this week we had a convo (we have the WhatsApps to prove it) about gating or not gating white papers. Our convo went something like this:

I: What’s even the point of a gated white paper?

S: It’s for lead generation, obvi.

I: It should be thought leadership, open and free. That’s better marketing.

S: lol not when your goals are demand generation goals. It’s not always a brand thing.

I: Pfff don’t give me that BS. Everything is brand.

S: I hate this conversation.

Fast Company — World’s Most Innovative Companies this year

Why we shared it:

This page has an awesome layout and nice mixture of colors and typography. The illustrations support the content of the page well and we like the addition of the “shuffle” button at the top of the page that allows you to see a new mixture of content. To top it off, some of our favorite companies (Spotify, Vimeo, Calm) made the list.

Preparing for distributed work — Dropbox

Why we shared it:

These days, we’re all working from home (#stythefuckhome) but as a couple of people not used to WFH or managing teams remotely, we had some worries. There’s a ton of content out there about this (especially now) but what differentiates this post from Dropbox is really the look/feel. We love the image they used for the post, the page is perfectly readable, and we love the movement of the progress bar at the top.

IDEO Designers Share the Best Creative Advice They’ve Ever Received

Why we shared it:

This article is filled with good advice but that’s not what why we like this. The IDEO team took pieces of advice to the next level by designing beautiful, mixed media posters with some of the best phrases on them. And, each of these posters is downloadable. We downloaded all of them immediately.

The State of Influencer Marketing 2020: Benchmark Report

Why we shared it:

It seems like everywhere you look marketers are talking about influencer marketing (okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration). Recently, we’ve heard that influencer marketing is on the way out, micro-influencers are the new thing, and that the influencer market is going to grow by billions of dollars. We’re not totally sure which of these things to believe but it’s pretty clear influencers are going nowhere. Have you looked at Instagram lately?

Introducing Design Systems

Why we shared it:

This is some good content experience. This article is broken down into seven parts that you can easily jump to on the lefthand side. Each part has different media embedded within the copy, including videos and podcasts on SoundCloud. It tells a full story and is something we will definitely bookmark and return to.

Excellent quarantine ideas

Why we shared it:

We are busy working during the week but during the weekend we have a rough time figuring out what to do. This site is also designed with an awesome color combo. Plus, your cursor turns into a hand in a rubber glove because of course, it does.

HORSE by AJ Jefferies

Why we shared it:

This made us laugh and right now we can all use a bit of that.

See you next week!
