Customers switch to mobile banking apps and this trend is not going to stop anytime soon. Based on the recent surveys — security is the most important factor for a customer when it comes down to selecting a bank — and that’s why we, at Wultra, continually strive to make digital banking more secure.

How the Antivirus Plug-in in Your App Works?
Adding Malwarelytics to your Android mobile banking app is as easy as 1–2–3; thanks to our SDK, you can literally get our plug-in integrated within your app in just 10 minutes. Then, our Malwarelytics plug-in immediately scans the apps that are installed on the device and seeks any signs of banking malware.
Malwarelytics: Antivirus Console
With the new Malwarelytics dashboard, you can instantly see how many devices are infected with malicious apps and see which malware poses a threat to your app users. We score the threat level of the scanned apps and classify a detail why an app is in a given category.
Zero-day malware protection
Another benefit is the intelligence database called Threat Intelligence Center to share potential threats and protect others. Since we protect multiple banking apps, we discover a zero-day malware threat fast and notify all our clients about it to prevent further damage.
What has improved?
We built our first Antivirus plug-in for Android in 2019, early after the digital banking channel became popular. Thanks to close cooperation with a few progressive and highly innovative banks, we delivered the “Antivirus for Mobile Banking” plug-in for Android apps. Since the attackers put a lot of effort to perfect the malware, especially malware designed to steal sensitive data, credentials, and money from users’ bank accounts, we did not stop the progress. In the past year, we saw numerous bank malware trojans, apps that look like legitimate banking applications. The trend was also hiding the banking malware in a “dropper” — another malicious app, which is supposed to download a second-stage payload app capable of more intrusive attacks.
