#44: Cover Bank Contest

We’re hosting a contest to promote our Album Cover database. We want to give four people with the most intriguing ideas $500 each to do something interesting with the database.

The Album Cover database is an archive of 5000+ Nigerian album covers from 1950–2022. We want as many creative minds across disciplines (writers, artists, designers, developers, etc.) to create an experience that makes it more accessible to others.

Submissions close on Sunday, August 19th 2022. We’ll review the entries, contact you to discuss your idea, pay out the money and support you to bring it to life.

What type of entries do we expect?

We’re open to various genres of ideas including quizzes, essays and interviews or interactive websites. Basically, any application of the database with a clear sense of the target audience and how your idea promotes the database is welcome.
