Winners of the inaugural Finnie Awards

AgriDigital was honoured to be amongst the winners at the inaugural Finnie Awards at a gala ceremony attended by more than 200 guests on Wednesday, 24th May 2017.

Curated by FinTech Australia, the Finnies are the first awards of their kind in Australia, designed to showcase industry trailblazers and recognise leadership, business excellence, innovation and collaboration within Australia’s financial technology sector.

With over 150 entries from 49 companies, AgriDigital is thrilled to have been awarded the following:

  • Female Fintech Leader of the Year, Emma Weston (CEO & Co-Founder)
  • Emerging Fintech Leader of the Year, Emma Weston (CEO & Co-Founder)
  • Excellence in Blockchain/Distributed Ledger

The judging panel consisted of 39 global FinTech industry experts, with headline judges including Catherine Berman (co-founder & CEO of US FinTech, CNote), Kristy Duncan (founder of Canadian based, Women in Payments), James Lloyd (Fintech Leader at EY Asia Pacific), Abhi Anuket (founder of Magnivia Ventures), Viviek Bhatia (CEO of Sydney based Icare), and Marla Heller (Director of Debt & Equity Investment Strategy at NSW Government’s Jobs for NSW).

FinTech Australia President Simon Cant said the Awards showcased the excellence in Australian FinTech and will help promote the industry to a broader audience, assisting it to grow in a highly globally-competitive environment.
