Formula #005 — Stinky Kitty
Cat odor got you down? Using a Wyze Sense motion sensor and a few Wyze Plugs, cover up the stinkiness anytime your cat goes. By using the Wyze Plug to turn on a fan at the perfect time you should have a good smelling home in no time.
Formula ingredients
Wyze Sense Starter Kit (Motion Sensor)
Wyze Cam v2 or Wyze Cam Pan
Wyze Plug(s)
Litter box and cat
STEP 1 — Login to your Wyze app. For information on how to get the Wyze app click here.
STEP 2 — Set up your Wyze Cam or Wyze Cam Pan, your Wyze Plug, and your Wyze Sense Starter Kit. (Click the product to find setup instructions.)
STEP 3 — Plug in your fan to your Wyze Plug. Mount your Wyze Sense motion sensor within the range of the litterbox.
RECOMMENDATION — Try to angle the sensor so that it is most likely to only notice your cat and not others roaming the home.
STEP 4 — Create a new rule in the Wyze app. Select Device Trigger and set it for when the motion sensor detects movement.
STEP 5 — Set the Action so that the Wyze Plug turns on. Tap Save.
STEP 6 — To get the fan to turn off after the motion detection you will want to create another rule. Select Device Trigger and set it for when the motion Has Been Clear For a specific amount of time. Our recommendation is for 3 minutes.
STEP 7 — Set the Action so that the Wyze Plug turns off. Tap Save.
STEP 8 — Test for success!
OPTIONAL — You can do the same actions with an electronic air freshner as well.
