GUI Wallet 1.1.1: Upgrades and bug fixes

With this new upgrade we are bringing bug fixes and new features that have been requested by users. The main updates are:

  • Automatically remove all line breaks so valid keys won’t give “Invalid key-pairs” error;
  • Added more detailed error reporting for invalid transactions;
  • Added remote node save feature;
  • Made the fine print notes easier to read on bigger screen resolutions;
  • Fixed error where the wallet could close after it is done syncing;
  • Fixed error where sometimes it would not show the public address after restoring a wallet;
  • Memory optimisations.

How to upgrade/install the new wallet

Before upgrading the wallet, make sure that you have your wallet seed correctly backed up to avoid any problem.

First, download the newest release of our GUI or CLI Wallet on our download page or GitHub repository. Chose according to your preferred operating system.

Note: when upgrading and copying your wallet files to the newly unzipped folder, make sure to grab all three files per wallet. So if your wallet is named “wallet1”, you need to copy over the following files: wallet1, wallet1.keys, wallet1.txt.

For windows: Unzip the folder. If you already have wallet files in your former GUI Wallet folder, make sure to copy those into the newly unzipped folder.

For MacOSX: Unzip the folder. Open a terminal in the folder and run:

The script just runs chmod +x on all of the binaries.

If you already have wallet files, make sure to copy those into the newly unzipped folder.

For Linux: Unzip the folder. Open a terminal in the folder and run:

The script just runs chmod +x on all of the binaries.

If you already have wallet files, make sure to copy those into the newly unzipped folder.
