UsualClient: I know an engineer who can do the same work within my budget. Hiring an Architect is an unnecessary expense!

Most of us have this misconception about hiring Architects. While this is partially true, here are 5 reasons hiring an Architect might actually save you money & time.

1. Architects are ‘Jack of All Trades'

Architects might not be masters of structural design, Ducting or Fire Safety. Yet their wide range of knowledge allows them to manage various aspects & teams efficiently.

Any and every problem you have can be taken care through a single person/company, providing you a simple and hassle free experience.

2. They are also a 'Master of Some'

Architects generate ideas and concepts. Anyone can be inspired by an idea/design. But it takes a qualified designer to adapt and modify the idea to the project context.

That curved concrete wall you saw on Pinterest might end up costing you your kidneys, if its not modified for your site.

3. They know their limitations

Architects know they are better off hiring consultants for various works. They also (usually) help you hire necessary consultants, further saving time and energy.

They collaborate to make sure various aspects are taken care by the respective industry experts.

4. Architecture is more than Building

Natural Lighting, Climate, Wind Pattern or even the colour of your wall will end up making or breaking your comfort level inside the building.

Architects not only focus on tangible spaces, but also on the intangible aspects of the space along with their psychological effects.

5. When Every person is different, how can their homes be the same?

Architecture focuses on customising the spaces for each individual. Your habits, likings, favourability all materialize in the form of a building.

You as the client(s) become one of the major factors of influence for the design.

Architects are expensive. Yes, no doubt. But, one should think of it as paying a premium price for the premium quality.

You’re better off spending a few extra bucks on an Architect than to lose your mind if you’re stuck with a sub standard version of your dream house, with no one to take responsibility.

What are your thoughts?

If you like this post, clap for the Architects and the Clients who hire them!
