X World Games takes Austin! — Consensus 2022 by CoinDesk Review
Community Lead, Jordan, attends Consensus 2022 conference.
Consensus 2022 was one of the most anticipated crypto events of the summer! The biggest names in the industry were all there, such as Kevin Wright (Manager, Global Brand Communications at Adidas), Changpeng Zhao (Founder & CEO of Binance — virtually!), and Tyrone Lobban (Head of Onyx Digital Assets at JPMorgan), and so many more! With over 10 000 attendees, the event was packed with crypto knowledge from different people and incredible innovative technology that has developed over such a short period.
X World Games team member and Community Lead, Jordan, went to Austin for three days to connect with like-minded individuals worldwide and share the bright future that X World Games has.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn, listen, and get involved with many unique experiences at the conference. Spaces like the DAO house presented by Binance, where you could learn all about things DAOs connect with other BNBChain projects. There was also an NFT gallery, where they brought digital art to life and where Kevin Wright, the manager of global brand communications at Adidas, spoke about the metaverse and SocialFi and their real-world application.
DeFi Announcement
There was also a massive announcement that could change the DeFi space. Tyrone Lobban announced that JPMorgan partnered with Blackrock with plans to bring a trillion-dollar investment into the industry. The DeFi market cap is currently at 40.5B (June 14th), which shows the DeFi industry’s potential!
There were also a bunch of great booths from all different blockchains, projects, and exchanges! Jordan had the opportunity to connect with key players in the space like Binance.US, Ripple, Circle, Hedera, Metamask, and so many more.
Cardano Event
Jordan also got the opportunity to attend the Cardano community event during the week leading up to the Consensus. He got to listen to Charles Hoskinson (Founder of Cardano, co-founder of Ethereum) talk about their new algorithmic stable coin coming out. At this event, he also met up with many up-and-coming developers, project managers, and so much more.
After experiencing Consensus 2022, seeing all the early adoption companies are taking into blockchain technology shows how fast the community is growing and how bright the future of all Web 3.0 is!
