The importance of design criteria validation within the LIME operational competences
What did our team find?
This case study, conducted by X4LIME Data Science Team, raised from QualiCal XPOOL partner needs to practically validate the quicklime temperatures parameters they consider in the design of the discharging line of their #limekilns.
What was the trigger for this analysis?
This analysis was carried out by focusing only on some specific production parameters: the quicklime temperatures measured at the lime discharging drawers.
First step was the dataset cleaning from irrelevant data related both low value related kiln non in operation and peaks due to instrument faults.
Subsequently, itโs has been possible to estimate the main informations about the average and the maximum output quicklime temperature for each lime kilns in object. Results has been easily collected from the whole dataset starting from the date of each kiln first start-up.
What was the value to the customer?
For QualiCal Tech team was essential to have a confirmation through real data of the design criteria.
The analysis compared all the results obtained between each kiln in order to detect some possible correlation between outcomes and kiln operating conditions.
