What did our team find?
While conducting monthly MOSAICO Performance Reliability Services on a PFR Lime Kiln operating at Beshay Steel, X4LIME Team highlighted an undergoing increase of alarm 🚨 mainly related to the Limestone Feeding System — Skip Hoist Winch that provides raw material — namely limestone -for the calcination process.
What was the trigger for this analysis?
Analysis was possible thanks to #iDO, the Industrial Digital Operator working within Mosaico Digital WORKSPACE. #iDO collected the most recursive Alarms and identified the LIMESTONE SKIP WINCH MOTOR as the key components object of the problem affecting plant operation on yearly basis.
What was the value to the customer?
Thanks to visibility on aggregate insight made available in the MOSAICO WORKSPACE, the plant followers can benefit of higher level of information, no more looking only to alarms 🚨 blinking over HMI Human Machine Interface, but detecting anomalous trend of specific alarms that generate inefficiencies and possible safety issue.
These important insights allowed field operators to make decision to timely deal on what really matter and act for as fast as possible resolution.
The effective communication with site team was resulting in a series of actions to troubleshoot the issue and finally solve the same:
