Today fromAtoB announced its Series A fundraising. And we are very proud to be backers of the company in this round.

For XAnge, it was a no-brainer. No hard talks during our Monday morning investment meeting, no partners doubtful about the product, no analyst questioning market size …

So let me introduce the company.

fromAtoB is a meta travel search-and-booking engine for train, plane and bus tickets and Blablacar rides.

And to be clear, fromAtoB is the only app to offer its users a combination of different means of transport at the best price, in one booking, with one payment.

Do I need to mention the whole process takes only 6 clicks and 30 seconds ? After which, of course, customers receive an e-ticket directly in their app, ending a perfect user experience until the next one.

The whole thing about fromAtoB is bringing maximum convenience in a complicated world. Today, a traveller needs dozens of apps with different UX/UI, different logins and certainly no price comparison.

With fromAtoB, a traveller only need one app that’s got it covered, from door to door.

Neither GoEuro, Kayak, Captain Train or even Google Maps provide such an accomplished product. And they are very far from it.

FromAtoB is already the market leader in Germany and has strong ambitions in Europe.

The market is huge. In Germany, Deutsche Bahn alone carries 6 millions passengers every day. And the typical EU citizen makes 923 journeys every year.

On top of that, FromAtoB is managed by an dedicated team with a clear strategic vision and a proven execution ability. Furthermore, the management team doesn’t fear taking hard decisions in the interest of the company (e.g. moving the headquarters from Aachen to Berlin… but I’ll write about this in another post).

Say Hello to fromAtoB, the next Amazon of transportation ;)
