During the past few months, our team has been working tirelessly on the Alpha release of our product. Today, we are thrilled to announce that xBank has officially launched on the StarkNet public testnet! We would like to take this opportunity to thank StarkWare again for supporting us with the grant, allowing us to become the first ever to launch a production-ready money market on StarkNet. You can access our app here. Go test it out 😄

As a community-driven project, we would welcome any opportunity to get feedback on the product from our community members. If you would like to try out our testnet product, please read the participation guide in the section at the bottom of this article. While our team waits for StarkNet mainnet launch, we will continue to develop undisclosed features and iterate on the current product based on the feedback we receive.

🔔Other Updates:

🔐Security Audit Completed

xBank places our users’ funds security as our highest priority. While all of our codes go through a strict internal review process before being deployed, we also make sure to get our contracts audited by third party firms.

With the Alpha release on testnet, we are happy to announce that xBank has completed one audit with PeckShield, making us the first protocol on StarkNet written in Cairo to have gone through the audit process. You can find the audit report here.

📄Documentation

While we are still finalizing a few things such as the protocol parameters, the roadmap, and the mainnet launch plan, we have released the first version of our Docs as a resource for our community.

We highly encourage you to go through our Docs, especially the Risk section to the understand the full risk associated with using xBank. You can read it at docs.xbank.finance.

🐛Bug Bounty Program

We are currently in the process of setting up a bug bounty program with ImmuneFi. We aim to have this completed before launching on StarkNet mainnet to provide an additional layer of security on top of the third party audits and our internal code review process. Once an official program has been set up, we will make an official announcement.

🌈How to participate in the Alpha Release on testnet

To participate in our Alpha Release, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Download ArgentX Wallet

To get started, you must first install ArgentX, which is the main decentralized web wallet for StarkNet. You can then create a new wallet if you do not already have one and set a password to your account.

Step 2: Acquire testnet tokens

The testnet version will support three currencies: ETH, USDC, and DAI. Since the StarkGate bridge is not ready, you will not be able to bridge assets from the Ethereum Goerli network to the testnet.

So for now, you can mint each tokens to your wallet using their respective links below:

ETH: https://faucet.goerli.starknet.io

USDC & DAI: https://goerli.voyager.online/contract/0x02dc4e7a7226c83c3aa9f9873720fcde0b20f2cc5b18ec776bd20e887f499474#events

Note that to mint USDC & DAI on the testnet, you must connect your wallet to voyager and input the respective token addresses into the contract the mint them. For a detailed step-by-step guide on how to mint testnet USDC/DAI, please click here.

Step 3: Visit xBank’s website on the testnet through this link

Once you have the tokens, you can try out the lending and the borrowing features on our app. Note that if you would like to just browse through the website and check out our UX / UI, you can skip directly to this step.

For more details on how to use xBank, you can also visit the step-by-step guide section of our Docs here.

As mentioned above, our goal of the Alpha release on testnet is to test out the product and get feedback from our community. If you have any comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to let us know in our official Discord server in the #suggestions channel. 🙏 🙏
