Overview
Welcome to our Month In Review, where we discuss the important developments within the XBorg ecosystem that occurred in the previous month.
Product
Roadmap
We announced our summer roadmap, which covered in-depth topics such as our token launch, our upcoming product: the Fan App SDK, multiple partnerships, our new launchpad and more. It also hinted at items that will come further down the line, like the XBorg community hub, the first ITO and decentralised esports team, combining AI and identity, and the XBorg {redacted}.
Esports World Cup
For the Esports World Cup, our two partners, Team Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas, hosted in-app activations in support of their teams participating in the tournament. NIP hosted a desert sandstorm-themed gaming event that gave us Dune vibes. Team Liquid created an exclusive crown item that users could claim in MyBlue to celebrate their first big run at EWC.
XBorg ID
We opened applications for the XBorg ID early access and announced an XBG giveaway for a handful of lucky XBorgers that mint the ID when the time comes. The XBorg ID is a unique player identity that allows players to store and own their gaming and social data securely. Soon, players will be able to unlock personalised experiences and rewards based on their player identity.
Token
Launch
Last month, we announced the XBG token launch using an alternative marketing strategy which focused on empowering players and sticking it to the suits. It gained quite some attention, and on the 19th of August, we successfully launched the XBG token on SwissBorg, Jupiter and Uniswap. The on-chain, large float launch strategy was the first of its kind, and although we faced volatility on Day 1, it has since subsided. XBG is now the only new gaming token with minimal unlocks. You can purchase XBG via the SwissBorg app, Jupiter or Uniswap.
Reward Program
A few days before the token launch, we kicked off our XBG Reward Program. Where XBG holders can pledge their tokens each month to earn more $XBG, partner token airdrops and ecosystem perks. Season 1 is currently live with a 1,000,000 XBG prize pool up for grabs. Owning XBorg NFTs and being an active voter on proposals increases your reward multiplier.
Kamino
We announced our partnership with Kamino to provide 1,000,000 XBG in incentives to liquidity providers on Solana for September. To enhance the XBG trading experience on Solana and strengthen our presence within the Solana ecosystem. You can visit the XBG-SOL vault on Kamino here and add liquidity to tap into the 1,000,000 XBG rewards.
Airdrops
Two XBG airdrops occurred in August. Gam3rs NFT holders received XBG as part of our longstanding partnership with GAM3S.GG. When they launched their token G3 earlier this year, our Prometheus NFT holders received a G3 airdrop too. Day 1 buyers of XBG on SwissBorg also received an XBG airdrop from us as a token of appreciation for their support. This was part of our launch campaign with SwissBorg to drive healthy price action on Day 1 and combat volatility.
Company
Gamescom
This month, we attended Gamescom to connect with fellow gaming companies, publishers, content creators and more. With our Fan App SDK release around the corner, we are doubling down on our business development efforts.
Press
As this was our token launch month, we did a lot of activations with media companies, content creators and partner communities. Some of the most notable ones were: our interview with CryptoSlate, Lou’s When Shift Happens interview, Lou and Connor’s Crypto Banter interview and X Con with Rug Radio Asia.
Community
Events
In August, we hosted various game nights on our Discord with Planet Atmos, Calamity, Metacene, Sparkball, Kitty Kart, MAYG and more. Participants collected tickets they could use to spin our lucky wheel, rewarding some with physical prizes like a headset or a mouse. We also ran a 50,000 XBG treasure hunt by hiding a 12-word seed phrase across social media content throughout the month. We used slogans, different languages, KOL accounts and more to increase the difficulty of the hunt.
Spaces
We welcomed many interesting projects to The Fireplace this month. Scape, Planet Atmos, Sparkball, Wilder World and GAM3S.GG, to name a few. It was easily our best month for spaces listeners. We received over 7,000 listeners in August on XBorg-hosted spaces.
Growth
In August, we received over 1,100,000 impressions on X, our engagement rate was 6.4% and 6,600 people visited our profile. On Discord, over 37,000 messages were sent by 1,150 people. From next month we can track the token performance in this section too.
