Month in Review: July

Welcome to our Month In Review, where we discuss the important developments within the XBorg ecosystem that occurred in the previous month.

Product

XBG Claim and Reward Portal

The much-anticipated XBG token launch is happening in August. Our developers have been working hard to develop the XBG Portal, which will host the XBG Claim and Reward Program. A few days before the XBG launch, token holders can pledge their tokens to participate in the reward program’s pre-launch season, which will have boosted rewards to reward loyal holders. On token launch day, XBG holders will be able to claim their tokens via the XBG Portal too. For more information about the XBG Reward Program, please see our most recent XBorg Improvement Proposal.

Over the past two years, XBorg has grown from an idea to a 20+ person, revenue-generating business with great aspirations and industry-leading clients and partners. We believe our website should reflect this. Thus, we will continue to update it as we grow. In July, we kicked off the design and development of the next iteration of our website. We can’t wait to show you the finished product.

The Dojo: Nightshade Headgear $2,000 Event

This month, we co-hosted an event with Ninjas in Pyjamas on their XBorg-powered fan platform, The Dojo. Together, we designed a legendary wearable, the Nightshade Headgear. We then set up a $2,000 prize pool to reward the users who unlocked the legendary wearable. As part of the event, users had to refer friends to The Dojo, driving user traction. As we enter the second half of 2024, we will increase the frequency of in-app events across all our products to bring new users ahead of the XBorg ID release.

Token

XBorg Improvement Proposal #14

In July we proposed and voted on our most important XBorg Improvement Proposal thus far. We suggested an alternative launch strategy for the XBG token: to launch on-chain with 100% community-raised token unlocks rather than via a centralised exchange. After much discussion with our community, we put XIP #14 to a vote.

Here are the final results:

- Option 1: CEX Route — 19.87%, 8.31M $XBG, 208 Voters
- Option 2: DEX Route — 80.13%, 33.52M $XBG, 531 Voters

Total Votes: 41.83M $XBG

We’d like to thank our $XBG and Prometheus NFT holders for participating in the XIP #14 vote and look forward to the token launch.

XBG Wormhole Bridge

This month, we deployed the XBG Wormhole bridge to mainnet. This will allow the XBG token to be available on Ethereum, Solana and Artbitrum from Day 1, bringing enhanced interoperability and utility to XBG. It also allows XBG to be listed on the SwissBorg app from Day 1, which increases the accessibility and user experience of trading XBG.

Community

Growth

This month, we received over 280,000 impressions on X, up from 267,000 last month. Our engagement rate increased for the second month in a row to 6.8%. On Discord, our monthly communicators increased by 478% to 603, and 346 new members joined our server.

X Spaces

In July, over 3,400 listeners tuned in to our The Fireplace weekly spaces on X. We kicked the month off with a community-focused space to co-create community initiatives for the second half of 2024. We hosted notable gaming projects in DARKTIMES, MAYG and Medieval Empires to discuss their projects and gaming overall. For The Fireplace #40, the core staff discussed the XBorg Improvement Proposal #14 with the community, unpacking the pros and cons. To round off the month, we hosted some of the brightest marketing minds in Web3 to get their insight into why Web3 marketing is constantly evolving. Marketing Leads from Merit Circle/Beam, AP Collective, Seedify and more made up the panel.

Events

This month was jam-packed with community events. We hosted a 1000 USDC The Finals Tournament in partnership with Community Gaming and the Twitch streamer, CarniflexGG. The XBG Bootcamp continued with four game nights in July: RoboKiden, Overwatch 2, Team Fortress, and Chained Together. We also hosted a special Prometheus Townhall to discuss the Prometheus utilities, roadmap and XBG airdrop post-TGE.
