The world is fighting an ongoing battle against the Coronavirus, that has now infected over 1.4 million people around the world and put us all under lockdown. It is becoming increasingly important to find a vaccine for the virus as a number of people around the world need continuous medical attention.

With multiple countries lacking in medical facilities and equipment, charity and fundraising projects are on an all time high, cryptocurrency and other digital currencies are now the stars of the show. There are multiple non-profit organisations are accepting bitcoin donations, organisations and regular individuals are beginning to understand the importance of the currency.

The Italian Red Cross Society is now accepting Bitcoin and other crypto on the 12th of March and have raised over $20,000 ever since. Since the social distancing is not the only thing that is necessary to prevent the spread of the virus, personal hygiene is something that equally or even more important. The Water Project is an NGO that is working to install water points all over the continent of Africa. They have also been currently educating people how they ought to wash their hand. They recently organised a fundraiser called WaSH. They accept both Fiat and Crypto payments.

Binance the largest crypto exchange recently launched a crypto against COVID initiative through their Binance charity foundation, which is a non-profit organisation that has raised around $1 Million until now, accepts crypto and logs every donation made on a blockchain for increased transparency.

Aside from these charities, Houbi, Krypital Groups have their own charity foundations and fundraisers that are working towards the fighting against the coronavirus. Be sure to donate to any of these foundations so that we can help those that are in need as well as move closer to finding a cure and a vaccine.
