Ebibote Opetu, Zacchaeus Akinwale, and Mercy Emmanuel

As the fastest-growing blockchain company out of Africa, it’s important that we keep pace with our customer growth by hiring the most talented team possible. After a monumental first year, which included releasing our free Layer-2 DeFi SDK for developers to build upon, the blockchain industry’s first cross-chain high yield aggregator, and our mobile app, we have aggressively gone after onboarding new users — recently crossing more than 40k new members!

That’s why our team continues to grow. We are proud to introduce some of our newest team members!

Ebibote Opetu — Communication and Content Creation Manager

As a company with a diverse audience that spans crypto investors to those who have never had a bank account, we use numerous platforms to spread our messages, including Telegram, Twitter, Reddit, and LinkedIn, amongst others.

We’re excited to introduce Ebibote Opetu, who will be leading our efforts in content marketing. She has a vast array of experience as a content marketing professional, including partnering with businesses to grow their brands by creating engaging content that strikes a human connection.

With over four years of experience creating content strategies for businesses, Ebibote knows what it takes to create engaging copy for every step of the customer journey. From writing clearly worded articles that rank on Google’s first page to creating persuasive copy that lead to increased customer acquisition, she has done it all.

Trained by DigitalMarketer LLC, she has found her footing in several industries like marketing, agritech and now, DeFi.

She holds a B.A in English from the University of Ibadan.

Zacchaeus Akinwale — Analytics Engineer

With our rapid growth over the last year, it’s important we make sound decisions based on data and statistics. This helps us hone in and double down on what works and eliminate other practices more efficiently.

Therefore, we are excited to bring in Zacchaeus Akinwale, a social innovator using data science for public good. His passion to leverage digital solutions for human capital development has led to his involvement in several digital projects.

As an undergraduate, he developed necessary training programs on Computer Networking for fellow students in the Physics Department. He also passionately served as the Director of ICT for a charity organization and was the Pioneer President of GEMSTONE-LAUTECH (a non-profit organization focused on nation-building). During the Netherlands Government Next Economy Initiative in Jos, Nigeria, he was one of the facilitators of New Media & Digital Innovation.

Previously, Zacchaeus started a non-profit community called TeenEx Network, co-launching it with a conference he organized for teenagers. The conference featured important sessions such as Digital Skills, Visionary Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Financial Intelligence.

In his professional capacity, he is a certified data analyst with work experience from Consulting, HR and now currently in Marketing.

Zacchaeus has an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Mercy Emmanuel — Head of Growth

Finally — this is a bit of a delayed post — we introduce our Head of Growth, who has actually been our Head of Growth for over a year! We’ve just been so busy… well, growing, that we haven’t had time to introduce her.

Mercy Emmanuel is a seasoned marketing and growth strategist. Some of her campaigns for Xend Finance, include the Enugu state-wide billboard campaign and the university roadshow that has been instrumental in adding thousands of our app users.

Prior to Xend Finance, Mercy was Head of Marketing and Business Development for Simple Finance, an SME funding and debt venture capital firm. She also ran the creative team that launched and introduced OPPO mobile to Nigeria, as the Lead of Planning & Campaigns with Syracuse Africa, a pan-African marketing agency.

Although Mercy studied law at the University of Ibadan, she started out her career as the Media and Partnerships Executive with Cars45, Africa’s first consolidated automotive tech marketplace.

When she isn’t ideating and creating ways to innovate and do more, Mercy is spending time with her cats and being a present partner and friend.

Welcome to Ebibote, Zacchaeus, and Mercy! For all of you recently joining us, you can find out more about the other team members here.

Sincerely,
Kevin Leu
