We’ve been hearing about the AI craze on the internet and how ChatGPT can give you the answers to any question. So we put it to the test. We asked Chatgpt to rank the best movies on personal finance and wealth to binge-watch on Netflix.

These are the top 5 based on ChatGPT’s ranking.

5. Margin Call

Margin Call takes us back to the turbulent times of the 2008 financial crisis. The movie centers around a group of key employees working at an investment bank, offering us a behind-the-scenes look at the high-stakes world of finance.

The movie takes you on a thought-provoking journey to explore the complex nature of the financial sector and the role human beings play in the cause of the financial crisis in society.

4. Moneyball

The movie centers on the character of the Oakland Athletics general manager, Billy Beane, who, after a bad start as an MLB player, moved over to management and was driven by his hatred of losing.

Although the story is about a basketball coach who had to start up a team on a lean budget, it didn’t seem like there was a glimmer of hope of them winning any games.

However, they instead rise to stardom, defeating all odds by relying on data and statistics instead of human intuition.

3. Wall Street

This movie takes us back to the bustling financial world of the 1980s. The film follows the story of Bud Fox, a determined and ambitious young stockbroker who dreams of making it big.

Throughout the movie, themes of greed, corruption, and the lengths people are willing to go to amass great fortunes are explored. “Wall Street” raises thought-provoking questions about the ethical boundaries of the financial industry and the impact of unchecked ambition.

2. The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

The Wolf of Wall Street depicts the life of a stockbroker named “Belfort Jordan” and his rise to success, from the bottom to owning his own stock brokerage company.

The movie has a bit of a twist when he starts to venture into illicit activities and convinces customers to invest in fraudulent stocks that bring quick gains to his company.

ChatGPT sure pulled up a nice one on this because this is one of the greatest and most popular movies on personal finance, investments, and sales.

1. The Big Short

According to ChatGPT’s ranking, this is the most recommended movie to watch on personal finance and wealth creation on Netflix.

The movie describes the rollercoaster ride when the housing and real estate markets were on the brink of collapse in the mid-2000s. The film boldly exposes the greed and corruption that permeated the industry, ultimately leading to the global financial crisis of 2007–2008. Although, what sets the movie apart is its darkly comedic tone that infuses a sense of comedy into a serious matter.

There you have it: these are the top movies to binge-watch according to ChatGPT. But since we can’t fully trust AI or what it tells us, we’d love to hear from you.

What do you think about these movies? Was ChatGPT right, or were they just not worth it?
