After three weeks of our month-long incentivized Testnet, we continue to be very impressed by the participation and feedback. Our users on the Testnet have increased 3x to 1,500+ people from over 75 countries around the world — 75 countries!!!! — with the top participating countries being Russia, Nigeria, Ukraine, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the United States.

Our goal still remains: to create a product that can be easily used by those that have zero or minimal, knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency. People located in third world countries that have unstable currencies stand to benefit the most from Xend Finance.

Lessons from the Contest

Our community members have been very active in creating content such as Memes, Videos, Articles and finding bugs as well as giving very good feedback and suggestions that helps us to build an amazing product.

Feedback from the Community

“The ability of our community members to give objective and unbiased insight that has vastly improved our product is highly commendable and it has fueled our growth, much of which has been organic.” — Ugochukwu Aronu CEO of Xend Finance.

“The first impression is very pleasant. The financial instrument should be visually simple and easy to use.”

“Quite an interesting platform. But a little tricky for me. I would add support for other languages.”

“The idea of investing/saving together as a community is very good.”

“The Esusu and Cooperative Savings pages should have the option to filter the lists. I must be able to determine the conditions under which I am looking for cycles from these filters.”

“I love the possibility of giving some Feedback and the fast and professional execution/handling/management of these Feedbacks by the XEND Team! Keep on going guys!”

“Withdrawal from cooperative savings failed after trying up to five times.”

“Muy amigable bastante completa entreguen mas confiansa al usuario que su plata estara segura y exitos amigos mios. de verdad que si.”

Top Complaints

  • Dark theme
  • More Languages
  • Slow Rendering of Esusu and Cooperative Cycle

Fixes and Updates

Dark Mode is Here: Xend Finance Dashboard is finally getting a new dark mode available from today. This is one of the most requested feature from Week 2 and Week 3. After some development and testing, the feature is now ready for use. It is available on the left side panel dashboard.

During testing we found that combining pure black and white creates high contrast that can lead to eye fatigue so instead, you’ll notice a special dark gray background and off-white color that lowers the brightness of the screen, cuts down the glare, and improves contrast and readability. Thanks to our community for suggesting this feature. It’s awesome!!!

Cooperative Savings Bug Fixes: The complaints regarding double deposit approval as well as withdrawal from Cooperative savings cycles have been fixed and it works fine now.

Ordering of Cycles: Cycles in Esusu and Cooperatives have been re-ordered so that recent cycles show up first. This will enable users to find out which cycles have been created recently and help to join these cycles easily.

General Improvements: There were also some fixes to help improve the general experience of the testnet. Issues like Deposit precision, UX design improvements.

Feature we are working on: We are currently implementing the searchable cycles feature. This feature will enable users to sort and search cycles & groups by different parameters such as group name, cycle deposit amount, cycle status etc . This feature will be deployed with 72 hours and will enable our users have a great experience with interacting with our different savings strategies such as Esusu and Cooperative savings.
