Inscription asset protocol with geographical attributes.

1. Introduction

XGEO Protocol is an extension protocol based on Bitcoin Ordinals that creates inscriptions containing real-world geographic attributes. These inscriptions can serve as carriers for real-world assets, activities, and services within the crypto world and can be queried, displayed, transferred, and traded via the blockchain. XGEO enables these native chain inscriptions to possess real-world geographic attributes, allowing them to function as landmarks in digital Earth and metaverse scenarios. Additionally, leveraging the recursive nature of inscriptions, they can be reused and recreated like Lego blocks to produce new content.

2 Core Functions

Transform real-world assets, activities, and services into chain-native inscriptions with geographic attributes, utilized in crypto business areas such as Real-World Assets (RWA), Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and the Metaverse.

3 GEO Inscriptions

3.1 RWA Inscriptions

RWA refers to Real-World Assets, primarily real estate, which includes land, maritime areas, and fixed objects like buildings and forests. These assets, along with their property rights and other attributes (including geographic location), are deployed on the Bitcoin blockchain in the form of inscriptions.

3.2 Placemark Inscriptions

Placemark inscriptions are used to mark a unique geographic location on the surface of the Earth in the form of inscriptions. The simplest placemarks contain only a Point element to specify the location. You can designate the name of the placemark and customize the icon style, representing natural, cultural, historical, scenic, service, project, and other real-world placemarks, as well as virtual placemarks created based on virtual scenarios. Additional geometric elements can also be added to placemarks, such as using LineString elements to represent paths or using Polygons to create simple buildings and other shapes.

3.3 Geographic Attribute Reinscriptions

Allowing inscription owners to add geographic attributes to their inscriptions can give the inscriptions real-world significance and practicality, enriching interaction modes and usage scenarios. For example, they could be used in metaverse experiences with VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), and LBS (Location-Based Services) type games. By enhancing inscriptions with geographic attributes, their value can be increased, attracting users and creating captivating experiences.
