XinFin participated as an Associate Sponsor at Hackference India, an event aimed to provide a hacking and networking platform by bringing people from a multitude of organisations, educational backgrounds, belonging to different strata of society for a whole new arena of excitement, coding and sheer brilliance. Other sponsors included tech giants like @Google, GitHub and Mozilla
Hackference India was hosted at KStart Capital in Bengaluru, on 15th and 16th December 2018. The event began with a Developer Conference where-in Atul Khekade, Co-Founder at XinFin Hybrid Blockchain was invited to speak on Powering the Indian Ecosystem with Blockchain.
The other speakers at Hackference India DevCon include @Julia Aslamova from SEMrush, Karthik Padmanabhan, DevRel Lead — India and MENA-T at @Google, MV Karan India OutReach Manager at DigitalOcean, @Felipe Aragao, Global VP - Analytics at @ABinBEV, Subhendu Panigrahi, Co-Founder and CEO at Skillenza, Aravind Putrevu, Developer Advocate at Elastic.
The event was then followed by Hackathon Talks where-in @Akhsay Pilankar, Blockchain Developer at XinFin and @Ronak Gothi, DevOps Expert and Blockchain Engineer at XinFin gave a brief about XinFin Hybrid Blockchain, XDC01 Protocol and some live platforms of XinFin like #TradeFinex, #MyContract, #AlphaEX, #iFactor and other use-cases developed by XinFin. They mentioned recent partnerships by XinFin including Abu Dhabi Sandbox, Ramco, Circles and Assocham.
Punit Agarwal, Representative at XinFin explained about hackathon specific problem statements and open problem statements and invited Developers to build their products on XinFin Blockchain. Submission Guidelines was explained and Bounty submissions were introduced.
Then the team XinFin started shortlisting responses to hiring fair. The team interviewed candidates until 06:00 am of 16th December 2018 and shortlisted candidates for next rounds of interviews. There were openings for internships at XinFin.
Then the team interacted with various developers, participants and helped them with their projects by solving bugs in their codes, and heard what developers were building.
Then it was the time to recieve the submissions for various projects, and see the master piece made by these developer artists, coding for 24 hours. Team XinFin saw presentations and live-demo and reviewed the products based on Idea, User Experience, Technical Difficulty, Usability and X-Factor.
The event ended up with Team XinFin announcing shortlisted candidates for future rounds. All the blockchain submissions to the hackathon can be viewed here.
