In the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency, the month of May had a lot of excitement to offer blockchain enthusiasts. With events like Future Blockchain Summit in Dubai, Annual Blockchain Conference and Women in Blockchain, still there was no event more anticipated than Consensus 2018 held in New York. XinFin Fintech sent Atul Khekade, Head of Ecosystem Development and Christopher Neill, Ecosystem Development and Community Manager to America’s largest blockchain convention.

With a Consensus record 8,500 attendees and sponsors, Consensus was a small pond with a lot fish. The event featured a lot of notable speakers like Square CEO, Jack Dorsey and regulators from the Federal Reserve St Louis and the Commodity Futures Trade Commission as well as start ups looking to get exposure. “Other than the regulators, I wasn’t much for the sessions and panels because it was a lot of new startups who paid a lot of money to speak about projects that wont launch until next year”, said Neill. “It really showed us just how far ahead we are in this developing industry”.

Co-Founder, Atul Khekade had similar words saying, “XinFin’s team has definitely gained a lot of confidence by being silent observers at the event. It was very clear that product, solutions and architecture wise XinFin is not just unique with beta product ready but even more suitable for a mainstream adoption as compared to many of the projects which are surrounded by pure hype.” XinFin has over 100 accounts registered on its TradeFinex platform for Trade and Finance.

“XinFin’s team has definitely gained a lot of confidence by being silent observers at the event.”

Atul and Chris got the opportunity to meet with a number of officials from many different governments including Australia and Bermuda. They had a lengthy meeting with Myron Simmons, a member of Bermuda’s Senior Crown Counsel, who expressed that he was excited to find a project like TradeFinex that was already a working platform and had a number of partners already using it. After their meeting, Simmons invited XinFin to apply for a license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority in an effort to help rebuild Bermuda’s economy. XinFin is currently applying for licensing in Bermuda and is looking forward to working alongside a warm and welcoming economy.

Chris and Atul also spent time discussing TradeFinex applications with Diana Coatney, ‎Director of Trade and Investment — ‎New South Wales Department of Industry, as well as discussing some of the developments XinFin has been involved in while showcasing TradeFinex. Diana will be working with XinFin advisor, David Freuden in helping XinFin take it’s first steps in Australian marketplace.

XinFin also met with AltiCast, an established software and IT company based in South Korea. AltiCast looks to compete in the South Korean film industry by investing directly in the rights of films they help produce and want to tokenize their operation to improve efficiency and become a stronger competitor. The AltiCast team is proposing TradeFinex to their partners and investors.

XinFin has already started establishing itself in US and is laying groundwork by establishing its protocol engineering lab in the San Francisco Bay Area and East Coast with some of the finest talent in America’s top universities. This will help XinFin’s American operation become completely self sustaining. A public release will be made later about these developments.

Khekade also met with staff from Oracle, based in California, who is well known for their cloud and financial software. Currently, terms are being discussed for future partnership agreements.

Atul also had a unique opportunity to meet with staff from the US Federal Reserve and proposed a SandBox project in the United States under the observation of the US Government. Proceeding further, Chris and Atul also met Delaware’s Deputy Secretary of State Kristopher Knight for the above mentioned project.

Amongst other things, XinFin also engaged with numerous other organizations to expand its user base and development community. XinFin is currently looking into integrating XDCE on BitPie, a popular hard wallet used in Asian markets. Atul and Chris met with leaders from 2 exchanges that are ranked in the top 3 on Coin Market Cap in terms of volume. Both exchanges admitted they were following the developments of XinFin’s XDCE’s token and are going to follow up in the coming days. Apart from this, Atul also spent a lot of time with Kadena team to explore joint codebase with XinFin on XDC Protocol. The entire Kadena team comprises of early ethereum founding team members and JP Morgan’s quorum team which directly influences there credibility.

Atul also had a productive rendezvous with Mate Tokay, Advisor, XinFin, also the COO of Bitcoin.com and one of the well-known names in blockchain industry, discussing further strategy for helping XinFin grow its network through their references.

Both Atul and Chris agree that their best take away was the openness from some of the Government backed entities and regulators to openly participate in the event and personally spending time with the Blockchain projects such as XinFin.

As governments slowly begin to adopt blockchain technology, “XinFin’s project is very matured in the blockchain and crypto ecosystem and will come to know its true potential with real projects in the coming days. XinFin’s team is also scheduled to speak at future blockchain conferences in the United States. Our goal is to be a leader in this industry with real customer validation and success stories by the time Consensus 2019 comes around” says Khekade.

Time will tell, but until then, XinFin is well-positioned.
