Big Data applications have characteristics known as V’s of Big Data.
Among them, the five most famous are Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity, and Value.
1 — Volume
Quantity does not appear to be a problem. It is becoming common to speak about volumes of data, including TeraBytes. PetaBytes and more recently ExaBytes. It estimates that the total amount of data circulating on the Internet is 250 ExaBytes.
2 — Velocity
Velocity in data creation, transfer, storage, and analysis. We are talking about real-time processing. What is processed and immediately visualized.
