XOCIETY, a AAA 3rd-person shooter, receives $7.5M in Pre-Series A funding, from HASHED, Sui Foundation and others
XOCIETY also plans to couple unique player ownership of in-game entities & skill play to player earning
XOCIETY, developed by Team NDUS, is an in-development AAA-level 3rd-person shooter. Xociety’s early development and start-up accelerated by UNOPND, the company-building affiliate of Hashed. The game seeks to blend RPG mechanics with a new, fair reward system for player activity and commitment, as well as redefining how players can engage in game systems and economies with its in-game corporation system. XOCIETY has closed pre-Series A fundraising achieving $7.5 million dollars in investment.
This pre-round was led by Hashed, a global, early-stage venture fund and Sui Foundation, the organization dedicated to advancing Sui, the first-of-its-kind layer 1 blockchain and smart contract platform. Both are joined by other investors including Spartan, Neoclassic, Bigbrain Holdings and KRAFTON.
XOCIETY aims to radically shift the model of Web3 Gaming, where an over-focus on unsustainable earning models results in short-term games that fail to keep player engagement beyond simple earning. XOCIETY places a deep emphasis on the true player experience, blending the best of traditional gaming with the power Web3 brings to players. To do this XOCIETY will make use of a new ownership model, where players own In-game corporations that deliver core experiences from the world of XOCIETY.

Leading members of XOCIETY’s founding team include Myoungjin Lee, Creative Artist, the Author of Ragnarok original. Sang Chung, Business Director, former Head of PlayDapp, the first Korean web3 company to list on Coinbase & Binance Jeffry Kim, Chief Producer, 20 Years of Experience, multiple lead experience of dev projects for NCSOFT, NEXON.
