XODE Blockchain Dazzles Cebu at Nustar Resort!

CEBU CITY (June 20, 2024). Last Wednesday, June 19, 2024, XODE Blockchain was launched at the swanky Convention Center of Nustar Resort and Casino in Cebu City. The guest turnout was impressive, led by Cebu City acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia and city councilors Joy Pesquera, Jun Alcover, and Joel Garganera. Other dignitaries spotted include Russian Honorary Consul Armi Lopez Garcia with former DOTC Secretary Sonny Garcia.
Registration started promptly at 5:30 PM, followed by cocktails in the ante-room of the Convention Center of Nustar Grand Ballroom.
VIP Dinner was served at 7:00 PM. Other guests were treated to a buffet of multi-sensory spread of flavors. Dinner music was provided by Quinta Band onstage.
The lights dimmed, and Jina, XODE Blockchain’s AI assistant requested everyone to settle down and the host introduced the speaker Cebu City Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia. In his welcome address, Garcia said “Cebu has long been a hub of innovation, creativity, and progress. The launch of XODE blockchain solidifies Cebu’s reputation as a center for technological advancement and forward-thinking solutions.”
The launching of XODE, the Philippines’ first homegrown blockchain in the Polkadot ecosystem, is a testament to that.
The audience of industry leaders led by a 40-strong business contingent from Korea, tech entrepreneurs, blockchain enthusiasts, and University of Cebu IT students was then treated to a compelling history of the internet by XODE’s CMO Caesar Ditan. Ditan underscored how Web3, powered by blockchain, promises to fix today’s broken internet by giving users control over their data, identity, and destiny.
Next to speak was XODE co-founder Harold Glenn Minerva who emphasized the exciting possibilities that the XODE architecture opens to the Cebuano developers, software engineers, and blockchain enthusiasts. The evening’s highlight came after Minerva’s talk. The audience was treated to a dazzling audio-video spectacle of what XODE is, and what it can do.
After the breathtaking presentation, XODE co-founder Gahum Vincent Garcia came onstage and addressed the vibrant future developers and programmers in the audience.
“At XODE blockchain, our vision is simple: we want to create a new kind of internet where you have full control over your data.” He adds, “Our goal is to create a thriving community of developers who can use XODE blockchain to its fullest.”
The evening concluded with a ceremonial toast featuring XODE founder Gene Son, Acting Mayor Garcia, XODE co-founders Minerva and Garcia, and XODE CMO Ditan, followed by an airdrop of XODE coins to all Web3 wallets of the guests.
The celebration culminated in a lively dance party with Missing Filemon rocking the house, making the night truly unforgettable.
