The importance of Xord’s culture and its worth is highlighted in the previous article “Xord — Creating Value Through Culture”. The values that we nurture at Xord that serve as the foundation of our culture are as follows:
1. Extreme Ownership
2. Growth Mindset
3. Winning Attitude
4. Transparency

In this series of articles, we shall introduce our values. This article will focus on “Winning Attitude”. A winning attitude is a mindset:
1. Of not giving up
2. Of having an optimistic approach
3. Of putting forth the maximum efforts and
4. Of utilizing resources to the greatest extent possible

The character of any outcome is determined by the starting point. The attitude we have when discussing, developing, and executing that notion influences the final shape of the outcome, therefore, it would be preferable if we start with an optimistic mindset.

A winning attitude could well be maintained with self-awareness, self-control, and self-discipline. Making people with this mindset a part of your organization will ultimately help you reach the summit and go beyond that. At Xord, when we hire, we look for people with a winning attitude, give them an open platform to prove themselves and work hard to retain them.

A Vision: Imagine lifting that trophy

It all starts within, with the ability to view yourself as successful and doing far more than typical. Envisioning yourself at your best in the future and working optimally towards it. Having a moonshot for the future shows that we believe in ourselves to reach there. It is the first thing a winner does, set a greater vision that one believes in achieving.

“Nobody succeeds beyond his or her wildest expectations unless he or she begins with some wild expectations. — Ralph Charell”

Failure: A step forward with a lesson

Setting a vision and working towards it seems to be easy until you think of the barriers throughout the journey. Failure should be taken as a learning and experimental step toward the final objective. Bad occurrences do not deter people with a winning attitude from pursuing their goals and dreams. Aiming high means we will face many obstacles and barriers. Being able to succeed requires a winning attitude that allows us to stay strong in the face of problems. It helps overcome them, taking a learning lesson with us to use in the next steps.

“It’s fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” ― Bill Gates

Perseverance — A winner’s best trait

Big dreams take a lot of time to be shaped into reality. It takes a lot of patience and effort to finally enjoy witnessing your dreams turn into reality. A mere idea or a vision, making an impact in real space and timeframe is what fascinates the people with a winning attitude. They strive hard to make their visions into reality for others. It’s the will they have deep inside them to achieve bigger. Not the strengths, not the resources, rather it’s the will to not stop fighting for what they believe they can achieve.

Optimism — A prerequisite

One of the characteristics common in all successful innovators, extraordinary business people, high-achievers, and well-known inspirational individuals is perseverance. They do not fear failures and have an optimistic approach to the repercussions of their decisions and actions based on them. This world is the same for everyone, and life presents us with numerous obstacles. The way we deal with them and incorporate them into our learning path is critical. Having a positive outlook and taking a bigger picture of matters make the difference. Individuals go above and beyond their boundaries to reach the goal they have set for themselves.

The criterion to be an Xordian

At Xord, one of the values that all Xordians ardently follow and seek is a winning attitude. Xord develops and encourages this trait by introducing Xordians to the concept of experimenting with their tactics and ideas to perform optimally in their roles. It sets them in an open field to accomplish the objectives in whatever way they desire. The techniques they use are accepted as long as they produce the desired outcomes.

Xordians proudly embrace their freedom with responsibility and remain consistent by addressing the obstacles and learning from their mistakes. These Xordians inspire me to believe in what I do at work and to think beyond just meeting a year-end goal. In just three months, I’ve blazed a trail that has me picturing a far brighter future for myself than I had previously. Xord’s vision intrigues me, and the genius minds I am surrounded with, make me want to do more, be more and achieve more.

Upcoming in this series would be articles on Growth Mindset, Extreme Ownership, and Transparency. Stay tuned!
