Inside the Accelerator

Being an entrepreneur is one of the toughest jobs in the world. Between stress, strapped resources, long hours, and naysayers, it can often feel like your back is constantly against the wall. But what if you had an expert support system behind you as you’re starting to build your company? That’s the mission behind the XRC Labs accelerator.

XRC Labs is an accelerator and venture fund based in NYC that supports founders at the forefront of innovation in commerce, consumer goods, and consumerization of healthcare. Currently, we are in our 14th cohort and have companies participating from around the country and globe.

If you’re building a venture in our area of focus and considering applying, we have put together a breakdown of what life in the program and the exclusive resources XRC Labs provides our founders.

Part I: Building Your Foundation

Once the program starts, our founders come to New York for a week-long Orientation. During Orientation, we host programming from Building Your Elevator Pitch to VC 101: Traits of a Successful Company to help ensure that you are building a solid foundation. Founders also get the opportunity to network with our team during our Cohort & Team Dinner and connect with alumni, mentors, and corporate partners at our Community Social.

The first few weeks of the program are essential in shaping the success of founders so we make sure you have what you need to hit the ground running. We immediately begin KPI Sessions with your cohort Support Team, which consists of team members in Growth, Accelerator Support & Investment. We all work with you to set your KPIs for the remainder of the program and to ensure you have what you need to reach the milestones needed to raise your next round of capital. We also host Peer Reviews where founders share obstacles they are encountering and get help from fellow founders and team members on solutions — it’s like your startup advisory board meets group therapy.

Part II: Execution

Once your foundation is set, it’s time to execute! We give you access to our network of over 375+ mentors through our Mentorship Program. These mentors have expertise in areas including: fundraising, growth marketing, B2B sales, product development, and much more. During our mentor speed dating, your company can expect to meet between 20–30 mentors and founders can select multiple mentors who can help you in your most critical areas. For many of our companies, these mentors are not just there for you during the program, but also after. Many go on to continue to serve as mentors, advisors, or even investors in our companies.

Aside from the Mentorship Program, we continue to spearhead programming in targeted areas like content marketing, financial modeling, B2B sales and host Office Hours so you can get 1:1 time with experts to discuss your specific needs.

Part III: Fundraising & Demo Day

Demo Day is slowly approaching, but we have everything you need to prepare for the big day. The Support Team will work closely with you to make sure your script is ready. From there, we will introduce you to your Pitch Coach who will support you in perfecting your Demo Day pitch as well as building your confidence to present on the big stage. We also partner with a design company who will build you a custom deck. We help you throughout this process and it doesn’t stop there.

As an alum of XRC Labs, you will get access to exclusive programming, peer review sessions, Office Hours with Partners, a Founder’s Summit, and so much more. We conduct regular check-ins with our alumni to make sure they are successful post-accelerator. Check out more of our resources below:
