New funds, new name, new era — XRC Ventures
We are excited to announce XRC Labs is now XRC Ventures. Our new name reflects our growth and evolution as a firm with the addition of new funds, our expanding investment portfolio and team, and our continued commitment to championing remarkable founders in areas of retail technology, consumer goods and the consumerization of healthcare.
In 2015, XRC Labs was introduced to the venture and startup community with the XRC Accelerator Fund — from which we invested in the most promising pre-Seed startups in retail technology, CPG and the consumerization of healthcare. It’s been an incredible journey, and XRC has since invested in more than 120 startups from its Accelerator Funds, I — VIII. Notable consumer brands like Billie and TerraKaffe, platforms like Shopshops and Snappy, logistics solutions like Fillogic and Gather.ai, and digital healthcare solutions like MD integration and Sanguina.
In 2019, we opened the Opportunity Fund I to support our technology and capability-based startups coming out of the XRC Accelerator that were growing in later rounds of financing as well as direct, non-XRC startups that approached us for our network and expertise. And for consumer brands in the beauty, personal care, home goods and health and wellness categories, we opened the Brand Capital Fund in 2022 to rethink the way consumer brands are supported and grow quickly.
To-date, we have invested in more than 30 startups across the Brand Capital and Opportunity Funds including XRC startups like Fillogic, Recurate and Gather.ai as well non-XRC companies like Solawave, Naked Sundays, Raydiant, HILOS.
We know this year has been turbulent for our industry, but we are inspired everyday by the ingenuity and perseverance of our founders. We are optimistic for the possibilities that lie ahead and are excited for this new era at XRC Ventures.
