Introducing XRPANET, the world’s first XR (AR+VR) metaverse AKA cyberspace — spatial web — real world web!

Imagine being able to “teleport” anywhere in the world to explore and hangout with friends as avatars. Imagine being able to “pin” digital content (spatial anchors) to lat/longs in a decentralized XR Cloud and share them with friends in both AR and VR. Imagine wearing AR glasses (Hololens, Magic Leap, Nreal, etc) in public (or holding up your mobile device) and seeing VR user avatars standing around next to you talking about cyberpunk art outside of the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas (Mirage photos above and below).

Our XR Browser allows PC , VR (Oculus + Vive), and tablet users to teleport to any geo coordinate, address, or landmark in the world and hang out with friends physically at the same location via AR or with friends who have teleported via PC and VR.

Simply log into https://xrpa.net and search for a destination. It’s that simple!

Destinations and addresses get converted to lat/long geo coordinates and the PC/VR user gets teleported. Checkout the Las Vegas Mirage’s lat/long in the query string of the URL below. Share this URL with your friends and it’s an instant XR party (almost like VR Chat in the real world).

Our XR Browser is a WebXR-powered responsive and immersive web app which means it adapts and enables AR and VR experiences to run on every device. PCs and VR devices experience a digital twin of the real world including: real buildings, real streets, and even real trees (and of course digital content)!

Mobile devices start with a mapping view to discover friends and digital content in their vicinity. Mobile users can zoom from the map view into “reality mode” to see and interact with VR friends and interact with locally pinned digital content!

Once zoomed into reality mode, your mobile device camera and microphone activate to see and speak with VR users in your vicinity as well as interact with the same content (you see it in AR while your remote friends see it in VR). We call this XR co-presence. Stay tuned for more interesting use cases…

Digital content (GLTFs and MP4 video — other formats coming soon) can be “pinned” to real world, geo coordinates (lat/longs) via our XR Cloud. As illustrated above, all digital content is accessible in XR (both AR and VR).

Since we plan on Internet of Things (IoT) devices interacting with users and digital content in the future, all communications, events, and proximity leverage MQTT IoT communications protocols offering guaranteed delivery of messages as well as work on and offline! Note: our real-time audio communications is using peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted WebRTC for private communications.

We’re excited about our progress and proud of our first release of the XRPANET platform and company. We have many more features on our roadmap so please provide feedback and follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
