To arpspoof, turn on IP forwarding:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
Just so I don’t have to look this up ever again,
sudo chown [you] /dev/bpf*
So you have the permission to those Berkeley Packet Filters needed for capture
BackTrack 4 is in pre-release and it’s a beautiful system. However, there seems to be a problem where after your first apt-get upgrade, the system will try to load Apache, PostgreSQL and other daemons on startup. Not exactly what you want…
