Spatial Report #4: Three Speakers to See at the Show

Conferences. After conducting way too much research, I’ve found that there are really just a handful of reasons a person would leave a warm, cozy bed, shoehorn their body into that 36-E seat, and arrive exhausted at their (usually unfamiliar) destination, only to spend long days listening to speaker after speaker after speaker.

For some people, it’s simple: Conferences are about networking. For others, conferences are about becoming more marketable.

But one thing almost always comes up as #1 in surveys: The chance to learn something new from admired experts.

We’ve taken this to heart with Spatial (which just sold out), and spent the last months finding the most engaging speakers to not just talk about interesting things, but deliver the ultimate prize: Show you something you haven’t seen before.

Here are just a few of our speakers, and what to expect from them at the show:

Vinny Lingham

Vinny is more than just a reality TV personality for one of the hottest television properties in the world, Shark Tank, he’s also a crypto legend. Nicknamed the “Bitcoin Oracle” by his multitude of admirers, you can witness some of his genius in his TEDx speech in 2015, where he set out to explain Bitcoin — not an easy feat.

Vinny’s understanding of the crypto market is the stuff that documentaries are made of, and after emerging from the shadow of Bitcoin, he founded Civic.com, a secure blockchain platform to control and protect identities at both a business and individual level.

At Spatial, expect Vinny to bring it, giving a unique look at the blockchain and digital identity markets. And if you’re an investor in crypto, you’ll want to hear what he has to say. Trust.

Larry Sanger

In 2001, two entrepreneurs created what would become the encyclopedia for the world, Wikipedia. But only one — Larry Sanger — will be speaking at Spatial. The co-founder of Wikipedia has moved on from that wildly successful venture, and is using his passion for education to build Everipedia’s IQ Network, the world’s first encyclopedia on the blockchain.

At Spatial, expect Larry to dish on the open-sourced, decentralized and peer-to-peer knowledge network, and talk about how the future of education is blockchain.

Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman is quite possibly the best NBA rebounder in the history of basketball, professional and otherwise. He also played an instrumental role in what might be the most significant peace treaty in this century: The United States and North Korea.

Who can forget Dennis, donning a shirt with the “Potcoin” logo, as he befriended Kim Jong-un and urged the world to give peace a chance? So when President Donald Trump sat across the table with Kim for the first time, Dennis definitely played a part.

At Spatial, Dennis will be joining us for our massive party at Parq, where he’ll answer questions about his surreal and historic role in the peace-keeping process. This is a must-see event, so if you have your Spatial tickets, you’re in for something amazing.

This is just a small sample of the speakers you’ll find at Spatial, and you can read about the rest of our lineup at our Spatial website. Next week we’ll deliver even more info on what to expect at our SOLD OUT show!
